Well as soon as it is ready, I will be going back to a Beolab 5000 system, lovingly restored by Classic Audio . Really looking forward to this though it will mean the demotion of my 4400 and Beogram 4000. I don't plan to go reel to reel just yet though so will find a suitable CD player as well! Pride of place will be the Beogram 3000 though!

I suppose the question is: What would you like to see on a bigger BV8?

I believe the copy came from the old site - I can't remember who wrote it but the situation remains that it doesn't really describe what they sound like! They are touted as companion speakers for the Beocenter 1800 in the 75 brochure - in the manual section. I am afraid my copy of this was from Struer Radio and hence in Danish!

As Ignace says, think bigger and with lots of connections! A main room set seems to be on the cards! The present ones will stay as link room sets.

I think we all go through phases and your son is far more important than B&O! There are differences in the cartridges though in my view they all share a certain character. The MMC1 was a very similar cartridge to the MMC2 but was supposed to have a slightly longer and narrower footprint.
