  • Hi-Fi World

Beoworld's favourite Hi-Fi mag has a review of the BS4 and BL4s in it this month. Surprisingly good review though I note the reviewer couldn't stop himself from changing the power leads! I really do despair sometimes. If they are going to do this, do a double blind trial and pick the difference. They won't of course but still go on about

  • Re: Your next purchase?

Mine is hopefully not too far away! My Beolab 5000 system! And I have also been given a Beomaster 4401 - who could want for anything more!

  • Re: Beomaster 7000

I have no doubt that Tim can fix this! I am seeing him next week and he is fixing my Beogram 8002 at component level.

  • Re: Beomaster 7000

What is wrong with it? I am willing to bet it can be repaired!! I am afraid dealers are often simply not able to offer the same service facilities as they used to. But we know people who can! A 6500 is just the same but doesn't have RDS when used with a Beolink 7000.

  • Re: Advertising or not?

Not sure I want to know what everyone earns - but I suppose that is my English reserve! Sufficient is how I would usually describe my income!

  • Re: Cleaning Beogram 4000

As the panels just come off, I have just used soapy water. The wood is best treated by cleaning with liseed oil and white spirit mixture and then use danish oil. Some prefer Beeswax.

  • Re: Has any member ever gone back to older products?

Prius I am afraid - though the Triumph is out and about, having just been serviced! Too much to take down - I have my 8002 which Tim is going to fix, the corpse of a Beomaster 4400 - we were going to play a practical joke on B&O by making a 4401 and presenting it to them for the museum but Frede found a real one! Also some bits of a Beolab 5000

You would be very welcome Andy - but I thought you would be busy! I would be delighted if you wanted to come. Back home by Sunday and you can meet Tim who is fixing my Beogram 8002.

That is actually Frede's 3000. Mine is at the paint shop and will be blue! Hopefully the 12" arm is winging its way to Venø as we speak and I am going down to Bellac next week to collect my Beovox 5000 speakers and various other bits. If anyone fancies a trip to Bellac and back with the chance of some vintage B&O as a reward, let
