Is it worth using a CONA with a passive convertor as a replacement for a BeoLab 2?

Ok so while playing with my Avant today I tried to install a Picture in Picture module. Its a Type 4141 and according to the booklet should fit into my Type 84/23. It says it attaches to the PCB2 which is the video processing and teletext and then the ribbon cable connect to P35 on PCB2. All very easy except the board itself is too large to fit as per

Ok, so having just ordered a couple of STB upgrades from a B&O and only getting 4.01 and not 4.11 for West Europe. I thought I would install the upgrade sop that I could 'hide' my SKY Plus box behind my Avant like I used to before with my ordinary SKY box. So changed the chip and it shows as 4.01 in the Service Menu. Select the PACE SKY

If you want the 5.1 Dolby the Avant module is different tot he 4 socket Pro logic one. The DSS X-Tra Surround Kit has a socket for the front 2, socket for the rear 2 and a 3rd socket for the sub. Bought a LS 2nd hand from a B&O Service Centre in Kingston, stored it for 4 months and then used it for 3 weeks and then it went all funny!* Apparently its not the signal processor but they (the B&O Service Centre) can't seem to get it fixed - All crap. Hi, yes you need Speaker 5 to get the rears working and the Avant changes to Pro Logic on the LCD to confirm that its worked, or at least it did on my one!

Hi all, My Beocom 2 (Mark 2) does a weird thing... Every now and again while on its charging stand the screen flashes (but doesn't make any noise) for a while and then stops. I only seem to notice this at night and can't be bothered to get out of bed to see what's going on. Any ideas? cheers GUY
