I have just picked up a Beocenter 2300 and think it may be the 2 way version. It has the little window on the bottom left and after some commands from a bl1000 what looks like 4 red LED's flash behind the window. Its a couple of seconds after the I have pressed the button on the remote. Is this a sure sign that its the 2 way version. It doesnt respond

Very common problem with BM6000's. It will be the rubber belt that has stretched/come off. Openit up and replace the belt. Its not to difficult to do.

I agree that the sound difference between the Bm6000 and Bm8000 might not be huge but one day I will get one. I will wait until the system is in a bigger room and then treat myself. As it is I am currently enjoying listening to my cds and noticing a great improvement in sound after the recapping. Its like the speakers were behind a pair of curtains
