• Re: Beomaster 6000 Commander - where can I buy..
I am pretty sure all Beomaster 6000 quad receivers have the remote sensor. The later Beomaster 6000 had an optional remote so maybe this is what Tim meant.
I thought so too Peter, but my 80s 6000 never went to Tim, and I remember asking him if he had any Commanders spare. Perhaps one of us got out wires crossed

Have you got a Beomaster 6000 Quad?
Well of course I DO and I want a remote!!
I know you have! Our posts must have crossed - I meant madslp. I got mine off eBay for about £35 I think pretty much as soon as mine came back from Tim Jarman. He was telling me that

  • Re: Anyone made a claim with parcel2go?

Hi Craig I had a similar problem recently, but one where the buyer was completely uncooperative and I ended up losing money :( Anyway, if you booked the courier through Parcel2Go you need to initiate the claim, and will need support from the buyer in terms of photos etc. My fingers are crossed for you :)

  • Re: B&O Price rise again?!

I've been in the Galeries Lafayette before and have a vaugue memory of this, but it was about twelve-ish years ago... Anyway, bought a nice Lacoste woolly hat from there that day - that I do remember!

Store-wise I'd like to see a return to B&O having discrete sections in the A/V departments of quality department stores here in the UK. I remember years ago there being a lovely section in the House of Fraser in Meadowhall, and this was my first introduction to the brand well before I bought anything. I seem to remember fiddling with the sliding

  • Re: I'm sick of B&O manuals on ebay!

It's daft, isn't it? Yet PayPal nail sellers all on trust from disgruntled buyers. Perhaps we should all buy a manual from this guy then all stick in PP complaints and have his account frozen! Anyone know who it is, BTW?

OMG! Is there actually a consensus forming on Beoworld that new products are becoming too expensive? *runs and hides before Apple buying B&O is mentioned*

  • Re: Entry level vintage

One point I would make is that my first 'modern' piece of B&O was a 5000 stacking system - which is the only system I have let go from my collection. Much as I liked it and the way it looked and sounded, it was probably the least 'special' system that I had and when we moved house I didn't have the space for it any more... For

It might help kb1981 if you expressed a preference for one particular system...though going from what you have already posted I think you might be after a 5000/5500/6500/7000 stack system. You can probably forget the full 6500 or 7000 stack on your budget as the turntables for these later models are hard to come by as not every one sold included one
