I agree with you RE the two box issue, IMO it would be a good idea if B&O bought out a second version of the BeoMaster 5 which was prettier (think HDR2 casing) for those who don't want to or can't hide it out of the way. The size of the unit is also partly so it will fit in the BeoVision 9 which was originally intended to have a BeoMedia

Could you take a picture of the screen in the BeoSystem 3 Connections menu for that particular input? Also, a picture of the Sound System menu when on the input with a movie etc... playing in the PS3. There may be something obvious we're missing...

As for sound performance of the BeoSound 5 - bar the occasional song B&O supplies with the dealer versions which I know, I don't really have anything I can judge it's quality by.
