  • Re: beocenter 9500 & enabled house

You did plug them into the MCL sockets? See the diagram above. Do the red lights come up on the transceivers (there should be two red LEDs that shine through the plastic.) This indicates that the power is getting to the MCL system .

I am afraid that he got a fairly common response from B&O. Most of these machines can actually be fixed for relatively small sums if someone who knows what they are doing is found. The problem with a different make will be lack of remote control.

It might be! Or it might be an output from the TV in the bedroom. However nothing to lose!

If it is the same as a Beomaster 1900 damping fluid, it is ROCOL Kilopoise 0868 .

Looking at your other cables, the master bedroom clearly had a TV in it and I would suggest that this was the master as you have an aerial in and an aerial out. The 7 pin DIN plug is to attach it to the 9500 - there should be a similar plug in the sitting room - it may be plugged into the Aux socket of the 9500. A Beovision MX7000 or LX6000 would be

Looking at the back of the 9500, the MCL plugs appear to be in the wrong sockets. The one with the yellow , grey and white wires should be in Speaker 2 Left, and the brown , green and pink wired plug should be in Speaker 2 Right. At present they both appear to be in the left channel and the brown green and pink one is in the Speaker 1 output. Put it

  • Re: speaker choice

Consider 4 Beolab 3s and a Beolab 2. Or 2 Beolab 9s at the front and Beolab 3s at the rear. Beolab 5s are wonderful but spending £20,000 on speakers would not be my first priority after moving house. There are alternatives to the above - Beolab 8000s front and Beolab 6000s or 4000 rear are a common option.

Medogsfat: joeyboygolf: Hate to disagree Chris but I have S80's with foam rot!! You're probably right then Graham - senility is catching up with me apace. I know some 'S' series had rubber surrounds and thought the 80's were amongst them. Peter & Martin will know better. Chris. I know what you are thinking about - the S75 has

I might have the video tape and cassette tape, though I did think I had taken them to Bellac. I'll have a search! I never had the CD.
