Very soon is not a word used very often by B&O!! A bigger BV8 is on the cards and it will have optional surround sound. I am afraid when is a tricky one!

No. Only the 6500 and 7000. The 5005 is identical to the 5500.

RussR: Have we not seen one in a dark blue? I'd be curious to know if that one matches thecurrent BeoLab 3 blue. Russ The blue one is mine! Though I did get it from Lee in shell form! I stripped out my grey one and put the bits inside the blue one! It is the same colour as my blue Avant.

If it is as simple as changing a chip, you may be in luck. Not too hopeful though! I would strongly suggest writing to B&O themselves though. Let us know if you get a reply!

So be sure to mention the muting problem you have with the CD, the fact that the picture format changes when your wife turns on the audio in the link room and that irritating white flash. If you have them of course.

I'd buy a UK one - it will be the correct voltage - 220V. Also likely to be cheaper. They sell for about £100 -£200 in the UK but can be a lot cheaper. I would use an SMMC4 as the cartridge. One of the UK B&O dealers might be able to help. Welcome to Beoworld!

Tell me where to find the firmware in the Beo5 file, and I will extract it. I couldn't find it in the firmware file - it seems to go directly onto the Beo5 when it is attached to the dealer site.

The 50" BV4 uses the same D10 panel as the BV9 now. It obviously depends on how old the screens are though as they did use the D9 panel and earlier BV4s used earlier panels still.

If you mean as a DECT phone, I didn't think you could. It connects to the house phones using the base but I don't think it rings when the landline rings - or certainly mine did not.

The 4000 is in a completely different class. The BS1 is a very clever portable system. But it cannot compete with the 4000s which are the hidden gem in the B&O speaker range. They changed to ICE power in 3/07. Easy to tell the difference as the power switch on the front was removed. In the AB version, it presses in and out to switch the speaker
