I'm another eBayer who tends to snipe. The risk with a rare or desirable item is that several people will snipe at the same time. The winning bid then becomes a complete lottery. I've seen items at around £50 with seconds to go suddenly leap to prices like £205, which can only mean that one sniper has bid £200 to be sure of

Unless you like sitting right up close to the TV, you will not see any difference between SD and HD on a 32" screen at normal viewing distances. An Avant or BV3 from the likes of Lifestyle would give you a much better sound and viewing experience. If you want to go for a flat screen, then the BV5 (42"), although SD, has a stunning picture
