• Re: Connecting BeoLab 8000

In many Kikinoko flat TVs, the audio amps have been implemented with some IC probably selected mainly for power efficiency and work in class D or S (technically a bit like ICEpower, only crappier ). Depending on the output circuitry, they may show a high impedance when powered off, and the cables connected to your Beolabs start to work like antennas

Nice I first looked that your neighbour across the street has a Beocenter 9xxx, but it must be something bigger

  • Re: a short..and maybe stupid question...

Unfortunately not: the 4004 used a completely different kind of control and only works with Beomaster 2400 and the kind.
Surely there's a way to allow private sellers to flag up eBay listings, if for example they are offered here to Beoworld members for a specified period (say 2 weeks) first? That would prevent a stream of eBay listings being posted, but allow sellers to to benefit from the extra traffic, and Beoworlders to have

Good morning, gentlemen. Yes Leslie, the policy has been like you say, and that's why I deleted the link from John's post. I wasn't around when the policy was decided on, but I believe it is there to prevent the forum from getting clogged with eBay links, and to keep it usable for direct sales between members. Anybody interested should easily

  • Re: beo vision 3-32 defect or?

Congratulations Indeed, buy a second hand Beo4 - even if the TV eventually fails, you won't be losing any money if you then sell the remote.

  • Re: Beolit 505 stuck speaker

Hi, I have a few Beolits but never needed to work on the output stages - I'm bumping this for you anyway in case somebody more knowledgeable picks it up (this would've suited better to the vintage subforum, though). If you have confirmed that the speaker is OK, it could indeed be possible that one of the transistors might have failed. That would

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 tuner : nothing past 97 MHz
Yes I did fit a 22µF cap across the new 7805 (out), and a ceramic 100nF (in).
According to general knowledge on the 78xx regulators (with no specific experience on the BM8000, and I'm not going to argue with Martin if he tells you otherwise for this application), these regulators are prone to oscillation

  • Re: RL60.2 Refurb Collaboration
I read somewhere that if you use a camera and point that to the Beomaster you will see some led's lighting up when pressed on a remote (Beo4).
Not immediately; the Beomaster won't send anything back after receiving a command from a one-way remote, as those obviously won't need an answer. However, after
