Would this be any good for or indeed is it compatible with an Avant to build a pro-logic system? Thanks Graham

Sorry I doubt I expalined properly. I do not go onto Freecycle to look for ways to make money. However, if something is on there that I like but perhaps is a bit broken or needs sorting out I will do that, play with it for a while and either give it to someone who wants it for free or sell it on Ebay. It could still be viewed as a bit of a sharp practice

I agree that Freecycle is really good for environmental reasons. However, I think this is more of a pleasant added bonus for me, as although this maybe considered sheer ignorance by some, I really do not buy wholesale into this ethical consumerism/reduction of carbon foot print lifestyle that seems to be en vogue at the moment. I mean sure, you really

Was wondering if anyone who uses Freecycle has managed to get any B&O stuff for free? I have not but I live in Cambridge which I suppose (unlike me) is fairly affluent so some pretty decent "rubbish" does come up - old PCs, semi-decent pieces of HIFi equipment etc, but so far no B&O. It is obviously really unlikely given the value

I concur, having connected a PC to my Avant I have found that it is really good for watching films (I am not really all that fussed about HD) but it is impossible to read the icons on the desktop unless you are sitting with your nose touching the screen (not that I have tried this). Adjusting the screen resoloution and changing the accessibility options

Hi: That was what I thought too, however I did not want to replace my stuff with an inferior sound just because it is B&O not that this was likely. I think it would be best all round if I get the B&O as I will be living for at least a year in one room (house share) and thus the ability to save space by connecting the 9500 to the TV for a while

Hi: Still debating whether or not I should buy a 9500 - I want one but I am considering the following things: Before I started collecting B&O I collected video games and consoles (I have quite a comprehensive collection). I still do collect these but this is not really the point. Before that and before I had B&O money I used to build my stereo

Ok, perhaps therefore you sould look at the remote manual for programing the AV presets - I always find it annoying that b&o don't have a TV/AV button. The button configuration might be slightly out. Again speculation.

Sorry, what I meant by connector was the scart socket in the TV itself, they often come loose and thus loose their connection with the board. Have you tried running a PS2 or Xbox off the TV using this socket - maybe this will tell you if the scart is broken? I can't really help with S video - I have never had much success with it myself. Sorry if

Hi: Could it be that his scart connector is broken altogether - and thus the TV will ot switch to AV?
