Now I'm wondering what the future of light dimmers will be, as I understand that in France it will soon be the end of conventional bulbs, and since neither electronic/low-energy nor low-voltage bulbs accept light-control(=dim function), the LC units would be quite useless if it only allows on-off functions. An LC2 on eBay just fetched 137GBP, so

What was the reason the LC2 was dropped by B&O? Other companies have stepped into the vacuum and produced their own products and the original LC2 still commands high prices on auction sites so if, as I heard, there was a problem with European type approval for the product, why didn't B&O sort it out and continue production, if necessary

[quote user="moxxey"] 355f stated that OLED should replace LED next year (2010). Perhaps. However, we know that B&O traditional seem to use tried-and-tested technology. B&O have a reputation of producing products that both last and are supported. There's NO way that this means that B&O will be one of the early adopters of the

Thanks for that. I'm the original owner, so I know for certain nothing's ever been done. Better perhaps to leave well alone! Thanks again.

Ah Plumbs! Fond memories as I bought all my stuff over the years from them. I now live in Spain and what a shock I had when visted Warrington to find that store gone.

Just one point before I contemplate tackling this. I haven't noticed any audible problems also when I shake the speakers I can't here anything loose, so by that do I assume all is OK? They are 'old' and from what I've read, foam rot is inevitable at this age. Or isn't it?

Well done! What a great project and a big thanks for all the excellent photos and the explanation of the work. Although I don’t think mine need doing (but they are 20 years old!), it may now give me the courage to open them up and possibly do mine! Thanks again.

In the Beoworld FAQs is the following comment:- "Initial reports coming through (April 2007) from our members are that Apple TV with the BV7 is amazing, with clarity and sound

I live in Spain also Andy and my 'local' shop has closed, the nearest now being in Alicante. Whatever the distance though I would have thought B&O has some obligation to provide a level of service to its customers despite the distance between customer and dealer. My STC-C was fitted after contacting the local dealer where I bought the set

I have gone down the way of ATV, connected to my B&O audio system & controlled from my iPod touch. All works wonderfully. I only use it to listen to music as I can't connect it to my Beovision 3. Viewing the artwork would be nice, but it's not really something I miss (until I upgrade the TV of course!). "Let the love flow......
