Yes, tvix will play any video format, including br-rips. You can also take a look at a Popcorn Hour C200. Add a cheap blue ray drive in it and you don't have to rip your br-dvd. Popcorn is also PUC-controlled.

Off course you can record the decoded signal with any audio editor, but you will always be depending of the inferior quality of the soundcard of your PC or notebook. With Replay AV , you can capture the stream and if you wish, convert to a format you are fine with. But I believe it is the only software, that allows you to capture a stream. This means

If you are not interested in streaming video, you might also want to take a look at a Squeezebox in combination with a NAS (squeezecenter installed) that acts like a server. There is an application available, iPeng, in the iTunes store for 8 euros, that let you act your iPhone/iTouch as a wifi-remote. I think this will be a good alternative for n.music

Tulp (rood en wit) van de tv naar een 5-polige din van je Ouverture. Je dealer kan zulke kabels wel leveren.

Ik ken de specs niet van de tv, maar meestal zit er een audio-uitgang via rca (of tulp) op. Dit is in de meeste gevallen een bypass, met een vast line-out nivo. De tv doet dus niks met het geluid, alleen via de hdmi intern doorgeven aan de rca-uitgangen. Deze sluit je dan aan op de Ouverture.

De BS-5 moet je ook zien als een aanvulling op de BM5. Gewoon een mooi display met wat luxe draaischijven, waarmee het bedieningsgemak verhoogt wordt. PC-commando blijft gelijk. Uit je openingspost maak ik ook op dat je denkt die zwarte doos kwijt te zijn. Dat is dus niet zo. Je BM1 wordt vervangen voor een BM5.

Heb ik ook nog wel een ideetje. Een draadloze 802.11b /wifi module in de beo5. Covers, titels worden afgebeeld op de beo5, ofwelk radiostation er speelt enz. Browsen met de beo5 dmv het wieltje. Persoonlijk vind ik het nogal een gedoe om je muziek te selecteren op de tv, als je alleen muziek wilt hebben. Toekomstmuziek? Niet als je bij de concurrenten
