Thanks for the link and the PM. The link is a bit technical and I may need some help to understand how it would work for me. I have the BS9000 with the AUX output which has been converted to RCA. The DIN Aux is connected to the BS9000 with the cable being plastered into the wall then travels to a phono stage which is why the RCA sockets are needed.

What did they say was the problem? Did they connect together as I mentioned? You/we need someone to try this longer term. I had a Beolink Active and Passive installed last week, it was a good time to test for a few minutes, but it was only for a few minutes. I saw your thread and another a while ago and thought I'd give it a try and post my results

I posted elsewhere that I had seen this done. Just tried it and it works. (This was a test only, and you should test it yourself before permanently implementing) Connect the first to the active or passive as you normally would. Thanks for the comments. I had the Active and the BL4500 speakers already. Took a leap of faith and bought the new Samsung 32" LCD. This setup more than

You have been PM'd Are you in Australia by any chance?

Not sure yet. We will have to wait and see on the BV7. I would like to see rather than just on/off and volume some sort of slider to bring in the Sub at lower and controlled frequencies. Can you give us a little more idea of how your system is setup. Do you have a DVD1, BC2, BS9000? Beoaus.

Are you playing a CD or watching a DTS movie? The way the signal is processed is different.

I wrote a detailed comparison on the old forum, pity its gone.... In summary (I still use both) VX7000: Heads no longer available but are heavy and serviceable in most cases. excellent unit, slow rewind, good recording clarity, has some problems with intergration in newer TV's, good tuner, some support for active only recording (i.e security camera

Sorry late post. I have had some problems posting like others recently. There is a hidden setting on the Avant that will disable the speaker filters (my language). From memory set the front speakers to Beolab 4000's and the rear to Beolab 1's. This improbable setup (could differ slightly) was used to best display Beolab 5's before the Avants
