  • Re: loudness setting on Beocenter 2

I seriously doubt it. If there was something wrong with the loudness circuits, then it would almost certainly show itself in a much more disturbing way.

The Loudness control (as with all B&O systems) only has an affect at lower volumes. The idea is that you can still hear low frequencies etc... even when using the system for background music. Your BeoLab 9s have built in loudness circuits which too are only active at lower volumes, so I personally would avoid using any sort of loudness control on

  • Re: Top 3 products in the current range?

BeoLab 5 BeoSound 5 BeoSound 1 The BeoSound 1 is often overlooked as more of an accessory - shame IMO as it's truly a fantastic piece of kit and IMO the best compact system on the market. Oh does the Beo 4 count?

  • Re: Beovox Pentas, Beomaster 8000 and a Cona

You can buy two, there's nothing stopping you. For a lot of people though, one is enough. RE connecting, I would effectively bi-wire the subwoofer and run both the connections into the Beomaster 8000 outputs, and wire both outs into the Pentas.

Not only will it match the Pentas better, but IMO stereo subwoofers are naturally better than mono subwoofers. While many claim sub-frequencies are impossible or difficult to locate (ie, you can't hear where they're coming from), I don't agree. It's highly reliant on room acoustics but for example in my bedroom I can very clearly hear

  • Re: Price drop for Bang&Olufsen BeoVisions

B&O certainly does care about second hand markets - part of B&O's image/strength is upheld by their products/televisions lasting as long as any good electronics should. If people see their £6k TVs going for next to nothing on ebay etc... several years later, then B&O have something to worry about.

  • Re: Two iPod touch/iPhones

Both remotes will copy each other. If you play a song by Fleetwood Mac for example from one iPod or iPhone, it will also essentially be playing on the other.

FWIW there's nothing stopping you from using more than one Cona. You could use F.E. one per side (which is what I would personally do, I hate subwoofers when in mono, they sound very flat IMO).

  • Re: Beolab 5 Sych problem any ideas

Correct me if I'm wrong Dave, but isn't the sync cable there to also syncronise the word clocks when using the analog inputs - meaning it's not strictly necessary to get the best out of the speakers when using the digital inputs as the word clocks will automatically lock on to the source?

  • Re: Serene design is copyed

I wouldn't really call it a rip off. Just because it bears some resemblances doesn't mean it's a rip off.
