The amp chip in the 3300 as I understand it is the same one used in the BC9000. I seems to offer a little more sound and clarity thasn the STK 463 used in the 2000/3000 sets. so I suppose it was an upgrade. I like listening to it. I have another I have had for some time I use in my art studio or for bar-b-ques and such. for 26 dollars how can I complain

The CD player that I purchased along with it for an additional $26 USD would play but only intermittandly. A look inside left me amazed that it would even play at all. Recenly bought a Beomaster 3300 for 26 USD from a local audio enthusiast who wanted to shed himself of his collection of broken B&O equipment. Powered up OK lights functions etc but had no sound -none. What it didnt do was clip down or shut itself down after a short period of time. Found some better detasil pictures of the S45 rebuild and thought I would add them as well. being the closet exhibitionist and part time porno peddler that I am I thought I would flash you all my big toe ! Now for the crossover close up. the original prior to augmentation and the final product.

I completed this speaker project over the 4th of july weekend. What we have is apair of S50 and a pair of S45-2 crossover rebuild using Dayton Audio poly foil caps at B&O spec MFD value at 200VDC and Dayton Audio non-inductive audio grade resistors at spec ohm 8 W I had refoamed the woofers on the S50 set back in January with rubber replacement

A little Elmers will glue all things back togethrr and i would love to say it all ended up splendid but it did not, I dialed back the trimmer to 2 turns clockwise to drop the power and plugged the unit in and "poof" the very resistors you speak of went up in smoke. i havent gottten around to replacing them yet. What i bought were .22 @ 1watt

I suppose ths might be part of the problem as well. I cant see it working very well with a split darlington.
