Hi all, Managed to get a Beomaster 5000 set up at long last and was looking at some of the reference sites and have a question. The sites say the earlier Type for a BM5000 is 2005 but mine is a Type 2007 Serie 1 (so an earlish one I'm guessing). Is the Type 2005 a typo that everyone has copied or is the Type 2007 uncommon? Beocom 5 - great at my end although not too sure about the other end, still have people complaining its a rubbish connection!!! Maybe need a firmware / software update, what's the current version for the speaker base and the handset?

Isn't there meant to be a better 'spread' of the sound due to the speakers being further away from the side walls, so less 'bounce' back? all non-teckie speak there! LOL

Aren't the BL5000 the wrong way round? Same issue I have with mine, shouldn't the 'speaker' side of the unit be in the middle and not on the outside?

I think its a design feature.............. :-( Could always try running the 7.4 off of a speaker as opposed to the TV, although you would lose it as a separate channel. Either that or buy rear speakers that match the front. Or use another set of speakers to be 'mid' to boost the TV sound. This is the setup I use.
