My next project is fairly simple. Changing my old AV7000 with a beosystem 1. After that, I'll change the front L/R speakers in my surround setup from CX100's to beolab 2500's .

Hi I use mac the ripper, it seems faster. Mac sure perian is installed as it adds codecs to the QT player or try vlc player which plays back just about anything (and also transcodes.) to stitch files , try http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html should do vob files as well...

Hi everyone, I am planning to install a beosystem 1 (US) that I had in storage for a couple of years. This to upgrade the good'ol AV7000 that I have been using for a couple of years. Now that we finished some reno's , we can actually have room to put this big clunker and I would appreciate the improvements in sound quality this unit would offer

Indeed a Mac mini with USB dac running linkplayer, with beo4/ipod touch or ipad for control, is a pretty sweet combo as it is. All is connected in my case to a beosystem 7000. Both the ipad or a beo4 can be used, depending on how interactive you want to get. The portability and versatility of this system is truly liberating... Personally, I have seen
