  • Re: Beomaster 5500 TV does not power up

If you press TV on your Beolink 1000 and get no response (no sound, no display, no noises of any sort), you probably have a problem with the computer board. It is not allowing the set to turn on. You can try measuring the voltage on the lithium backup battery on the board to see if it's still good or not. If the battery is still good, disconnect

  • Re: Ouverture with faulty doors and CD mechanism.

It's a bulb. Don't know the wattage, but I found something similar at the local electronics component shop in the US for about USD $2. I bought bulbs of different wattages to try out until I found the one which provided a comparable brightness. The other way to go is to just buy the assembly with the bulb, available from B&O as a service

  • Re: Moving on... bought my last B&O anything...

Doesn't it depend on what one considers to be "servicable"? Components designed and built in the 1970's were simple units using lots of discrete components, boards with few layers, and fat traces. Units were serviced at the component level because it was possible to do so. Fast forward to today's electronics, B&O or non-B&O

  • Re: Beo4 - White!!!

Very nice. Powder coating the case would provide a finish that is as hard, if not harder than the original factory finish. I think it's possible to get the stippled texture as well, or no texture at all if desired. I have a Beolink 1000 requiring a refinishing job as well. If only the rubber feet on a BL-1000 were available as a part.... : )

  • Best All-In-One Integration Component for Apple-B&O Config?

I've been enjoying the new world of music presented to me using the connection between a PC/Mac and the B&O audio system, conveniently provided by Apple Airtunes/Airport Express/iTunes. It's a wonderful thing, especially the access internet radio stations. Made even better with Apple's free Remote application for the iPod Touch/iPhone

  • Re: Beosound Century not responding to Beolink 1000 or Beo 4

Did you ever get this fixed? I have the same problem with mine. The music system does not respond to remote control commands.

  • Beocenter 2500 Tape Mechanism Question

Hi, Has anyone done any component level repair of the cassette mechanism on the Beocenter 2500? Mine doesn't raise the head or go into Play, FF, or Rewind modes. I assumed the belt was worn out, and replaced it, but the problem persists. After fiddling with the solenoids, I can get the unit to raise the head and get Play, Rewind, and Fast Forward

  • Re: Looking for Removable Datalink Pins

So the data ground is not necessary then? Where can I contact Martin regarding pins? Thanks!

  • Looking for Removable Datalink Pins

I have a Beocord 3300 and Beogram 3300 which don't have the extra two pins used for Datalink. Does anyone know of a source for these screw-in pins, or some good workaround? Thanks, John
