exactly!! while it is a rather grey area..... ( I don't think anyone is going to really want to buy a used Banasonic panel when he's ready to sell it assuming he doesn't run it dead) you can not fault the guy for wanting to modify his own screen to whatever he wants...... take this one for example http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/25169

if you go into the system monitor information and it says you are in option 2 and you still have no access to audio commands then it's time for your BS3 to see service one would believe. Especially, since it is not reacting to your Opt. commands via IR blinks.

theres a company that will allow you to remove the old tape decks in the 2300/2500/4000's and have them put in a 30pin Ipod dock which will also respond via Beo4 using the I believe the A.Aux commands..... it's really a great idea, extremely cool, but very pricey. If you look on the forum you'll find the site that offers the conversion.

Very odd if it is all OPT programmed correctly. Possibly a bad ML board in the BS3 (all though why would it pass the commands in link rooms?) if your running the newest software etc. and are 100% on your configuration settings then it would be wise to setup a service call..... of course do the B&O all time reset before you go that route (unplug

after re-reading the this subject I'm a bit confused about what it is happening? u can or can not control ur BC2 from remote via BS3? can u access audio commands via BS3 via remote? Can u not access the DVD input via BS3 when u use the control interface on the BC2 itself? Just a little confused :)

Maybe a swap of the ATV2? I have seen in the Apple forums that some customers have been able to swap theirs out and it cleared up the issue. Additionally, you may try to set your BS3 into Framelock - Double Buffer as another work around......(red + go while on options then select picture adjustments).... I seem to remember that working on the old ATV1
