  • Re: convenient way to send video from other sources to my kitchen tv ?

Hi: One option I am thinking about for myself is getting a set of thin clients and installing them next to my TVs (B&O crts). All you need do then in theory is install XP Pro or Server edition on your main PC and then set the thin clients up (they clearly need to be wireless enabled). Yes you will end up with larger plastic boxes than with the video

  • A LCD TV bracket conundrum

Hi all: My parents wish to buy a generic portable size (15/17") LCD TV for their bedroom. This is obviously no problem. However, they wish to mount it onto the underside of a shelf in their wardrobe so that when not in use they can rotate the unit so that the screen is facing towards the ceiling and have it as close to the underside of the shelf

  • Re: Dumb terminal

Hi: I have built a media server using xp pro, this is connected to the house wifi network and accessed by all machines in the house. I use itto stream films to my beovision 1 in my bedroom. I have an MX 4000 in the garage doing nothing and I would like to put it to use in the kitchen. This would otherwise need to be connected to a laptop to stream media

  • Dumb terminal

Hi: The title to this thread is not what I want (they probably don't exist now). However, I would like a really small PC that will have wireless capabilities, perhaps a DVD drive and minimal storage capacities (about the size of a mac-mini or smaller). I would then like to connect this to a TV in the kitchen. Does anyone know of a product that matches

  • Re: A pin in a hay stack

Hi: Yes my point exactly - I would rather if it was stolen that someone had use out of it as opposed to the burglar realising he/she can't bypass the pin system and smash the TV to bits.

  • Re: A pin in a hay stack

Hi everyone: Thanks for all your help. I will wait a while then give it a go. Its so frustrating as over the holidays I fixed and setup my media server, fixed the computer in my room so that it is connected to the Beovision 1 and its all ready to go - now, I can't watch anything until I sort out the TV. Oh well, guess this will teach me to be so

  • Re: A pin in a hay stack

Hi: The TV has had three owners including me so it is unlikely to work. I will pursue this option if I cannot remember the code. I think I do remember it now yet as I cannot get past the "Wait" command I cannot test this theory. Thanks Graham

  • Re: A pin in a hay stack

Hi: Thanks, yeah I know it is to stop the TV being stolen. However, it also stops forgetful people from using their TVs. As long as it is as simple as an unlock code cool. I was under the impression however, that someone would have to come from a b&o shop and physically do something to the chip. Thanks Graham
