hI Peter I have been repairing some turntables and I was given Silica grease for these kind of jobs from a friend on Beoworld to lubricate them. I have only used the smallest amount a smear and spread it evenly, and its done the job, I took the pistons and parts out from a beogram 4000 which is the same as my 4002 and cleaned them all down. there was

Hi Peter I shall do this and if it works out good I will let people know, Jeff on site is interested also. I keep forgetting to do before and after shots. I have taken a couple of a pair of CX50s I am restoring and they are coming along well. The main job is to restore some scratches to a beogram 4000 but will test out before moving onto it. Hi Jeff I think I am going to get some of the scratch removal materials possibly tomorrow, the suggested going with fine grade all the way down to harder grade and once the scratch is out the going back step by step to the finer grade and polish etc. They have a kit prepared for me to go and collect if I can I will do this. I will let you kknow asap

Hi there are you going to retore the beogram 1200s as I have 1200 and 1202, I am aiming to get them back to as good as as soon as I have the chance and knowledge so this post could be useful. Thanks Kev

I understnd your frustration here, I have beolit radios which I am just keeping as it took me ages to find these and they are truly lovely to listen to. I have a friend who got a DAB as a present and she thinks she gets a better reception from her old cheep radio she had before. I am not sure were we are going to be with digital my old stuff just seems

Hi Thanks Graham I realised after a good look that this is cosmetic rather than a replaceable part, painted on job. Ita not really a problem but I thought it would look much better and discreet with a black trim. Who knows may do this in future. I read earlier that you were saying the 9300 was most likely easier to repair than the 9500 system, do you

Hi Graham I wonder if you can help? I have a beocenter 9300 which has the white line round the perimeter, I have seen other strips on different beocenters but do you know if these can be purchased. I would like to replace this strip if it is possible. Do you know if this is possible? Cheers Kevin

Hi will do, just have to see how this will pan ot,my slant will moslt likley be how to best remove 30 odd years of history from the plastic, I hope it will come across ok Cheers Kevin

Hi Jeff Thanks, I have to tell you about an interesting conversation I had with a company rep in Glasgow regarding scratch removal from plastics. A chap named *** Kanikula contacted me after I e-mailed him enquiring about materials they may have to help with this type of work. Now I was a little taken aback when he suggested this was a good opportunity
