  • Beolab 5000 system

Hi, I thought I would start a new post as the last one was pretty much on another subject. Again here are some pictures of my restoration work of the 2500 cubes and Beovox 5000 type 6223. Today I received Beomaster 5000 (tuner) which I must say is in fantastic condition. I don't know if it actually works as I don't have anything to hook it up

Hi all, it's been a while since my last post. I thought I would finally post some pictures of my restoration work. The 5000' s looked in similar condition to the cubes when I found them in the local flea market but they really only needed a good sanding a some oil. Still looking for a Beolab 5000 system, but most are out of my reach when and

  • Re: Volume output from Beomaster 7000 is low

Hi, I reversed the plugs and sure enough that seems to have been the problem. Thanks everyone, now I am going to try to turn my 7000 unit into a surround system by adding a yamaha DSP800. Andrew

Ok, Shift > tape gives me tape two and shift > radio give me aux, however I have to increase the volume up to over 50 before I hear anything (on both settings). Also at that point there is also a disturbing noise from the speakers every time I change the volume. Andrew

  • Volume output from Beomaster 7000 is low

Hi, I am having trouble whenever I conncect a non B/O product to the aux input of by beomaster 7000. When using the CD or the tape, all the volumes levels are fine. Some time ago I bought a Roku Soundbridge and connect it to the "in" of the aux however I needed to have the volume at around 60 to get a similiar volume of 25 when using the CD

  • Re: How-To : Replacing old caps with modern replacements

Hi Pete, I have a Beosystem 7000 hooked up to a pair of Beovox 5000 type 6206 ( with cubes) A while ago I went on vacation and turned off the power to the sytem, when I cam back all previous humming from the receiver disappeared. To my ear the speakers sound good, do you think that replacing the caps (where) will make a big difference? Andrew
