Indeed.The Philips Prestigo and Logitec remotes will def work with current B&O product.It might be prudent to check before buying that they will work with the BT box,as it's quite a recent product.But both devices are learning types too!!

I suspect that the BT vision remote will only function with older "pre-bl1ooo" B&O tv's? It seems to use the standard 36/38khz transmission rate,so won't work with the higher 455khz that current B&O product utilises? You could probably set up a Logitec remote to work both pvr and tv though.

You can easily make up an attenuator cable to connect your BL8ooo's to the SP1 sockets.The muting would still work,and the speakers would'nt power up when using the amp from a link room.Not ideal perhaps,as it's tapping off the power amp,but these output stages are so good,it's probably academic?

It's very unlikely to be a mechanical problem.These mechs are very robust.It's probably the laser power is reduced,and the focusing is more crucial when the unit is vertical?I recommend "recapping" the servo board before anything else.Certainly don't try to adjust the servo arm mech.Martin(Dillen) can supply a cap kit for this

The deck should float on springs!Release the screws fully so you can push the deck down against spring pressure.You should'nt need to adjust the counterweight sleeve,the arm is probably skipping due to vibration from the speakers,as the deck is not isolated?

According to the fault report from B&O,the problem is due to the plastic guides etc breaking away from the chassis.I guess this was why they considered it easier to replace the mech? Yes indeed,the earlier decks were more robust.I guess B&O needed a "universal" mech to use across the range,and the later job was obviously cheaper to make too!!In fairness,it works well normally.
