Tomaz once again displays his genius. I fear that it is wasted here though. Once the wi-fi enabled Beo6 is available, this concept goes straight to the dust-bin. What I would like to see is for Tomaz to re-work his original concept for the BeoLab 9 Pingvin speaker with a retractable ALT tweeter so that when not in use it folds or collapses into something

Desmond, what happens if you get the Mac mini to play downstairs, go upstairs and press the mute or volume up button on the IR sensor?

Just a couple of quick points. Since I am clearly in the same boat as Alex and Trip (though not always in the same camp....) With regard to geting your hands on the frame in the first place; B&O are fiercely protective of their image. In order to get a replacement frame here in the US, I am required to supply a B&O serial number for the panel

As for Cat 7, you probably ought to do it that way and only order the wall plates ans pig-tails from one of us. At least you'd be a step ahead then. Russ

As ludicrous as it sounds.... B&O offer an ML cable with only one terminated end for applications like yours. Order those, the appropriate number of punch-down blocks and the bulk cable, or a finished cable in the length you need. As for complete DiY...the crimping yoo will set you back more than $900USD. It may be possible very soon; once B&O have started to ship the BeoSystem 3D. Already available in concert with the BeoVision 4 85, and 103 MKII, soon to appear in the BeoVision 7 40 and 55; it will replace the current BeoSystem 3. Price goes up a bit, an IR transmitter will need to be placed near the screen, and you'll need the B&O version

Any B&O dealer ought to be able to help out.

Not to worry (too much)! Blackrix is correct. Cleaning solves this issue more than 90% of the time. I advise that you remove all of the cd's, and with the door still open disconnect the BS-9000 from mains power. Clean both sides of the glass panel. GENTLY clean the two plastic 'pylons' which protrude from the alumininum surface. Clean the

As Casdave has mentioned brass, I must insist that you try almost anything on "In the Digital Mood" released by GRP 25 years ago as the 'definitive digital performance' of Glenn Miller's music. Forced to choose one track as 'dynamic' I'll take "American Patrol". I hesitate to mention 2 other favorites in this

Already spotted 'in the wild' here in the US.
