I would say that this depends what you see at the moment. Do you have every pixel displayed? I have connected my mini to different displays only to see how they manage. BV9 did not do very well, tweaking was needed. With a <1000€ Mirai 1080p was displayed very well without any tweaking. I think your panel does not support 1080p. Currently I

This is the description of my connection: Toslink Digital Optical Female to 3.5MM Mini-Plug Stereo Male - this goes to the Mac's headphone socket. Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable is connected to a Toslink Digital Optical to Digital RCA Coax Digital Audio Converter - this is needed to convert the Mac's optical output to coaxial digital input

Do you use a DVI-HDMI cable? If so I think you need to add a separate cable for audio. Mac typically features optical digital out so you need an optical-coaxial converter as well. That is the way my mac is connected to the BS3.

You need a MCL 2AV to attach local sources to the amplifier. The Transceiver unit has to be connected to the link unit. I recall that my previous setup (BG 6500 and BC 6500 in a link room) worked locally even when the master was not present. You did not mention if you have the square or hockey puck type Transceiver.

Does this mean that the current DVB-S/T can not be updated to receive MPEG4 coded transmission? There seems not be space in the BS3 to have both DVB-HD and DVB-S/T module installed. What modes of DVB does the DVB-HD support? I understood from a separate thread that the 5.02 Sw upgrade provided MPEG 4 support.

BeoNut1: ... and power BL5 speakers via a digital co-axial from the BeoSystem 3 just like the BC-2 and the BS9000 function with these speakers. Is this erroneous thinking on my part? I ask as I'd like to avoid purchasing a conventional audio head unit as all my media is stored digitally on hard drives. Sorry to let you down partially. BS3 does not

A happy Christmas: I just received my blown up BM6500 back from the repair shop. In the meanwhile I had to downgrade to my previous setup - BC9000 and the Jamos. It was pure joy to load the Bach's Christmas Oratorio to the BG6500 and listen to it with BM6500 and the Pentalabs. Merry Christmas everyone!

LarsJensen: I take it your Apple mini has a DVI output? You will get the best result if you get a DVI -> HDMI cable and connect the mini to any of the HDMI sockets on the back. /Lars And to get digital audio have an optical cable from the mini (headphones socket) to an optical/coaxial converter and then coaxial cable to the TV to one of the available

Hi, while planning for future upgrade I ran into a possible showstopper. Is MCL2 totally incompatible with N.MUSIC and/or N.RADIO? For me that would rule out BS9000 and BS5 as audio masters. Can't I overcome the problem with ML/MCL converter? Please tell me my Link System's life cycle has not ended!
