An entry level beosystem 3 can be just what the Doctor ordered for B&O, good call trip! The best receiver on the market, with the best features. Now, the krux of the other issues which seem to be plaguing B&O can all be "cured" by what others have said: allow end users to service their products (not repair), but update the PUC, customize

It is unfortunate that this isn't the first time I have heard (or read on these forums) that customer service (or lack there of) has begun to leave a bitter taste in the mouths of beophiles. This past week, just for kicks I had a listen to B&W, Dynaudio, Martin Logan, and Magico speakers at a local hi end audio shop. I was blown away by the

This might sound silly / obvious, but have you changed the mounting of the Beosound and neglected to alter the carriage screws on the back of the unit? Even if you haven't changed orientation, it might be worthwhile to see if the carriage screws are aligned.
I heard a rumor the next stage is ordering B&O merchandise directly from Denmark with few regional offices scattered in the UK??!!
I thought I heard that as well here in the states. I received a communication from B&O America (via email, and postcard) regarding massive discounts (B&O discounts, everything
Bandoboy, Don't expect any sympathy from this lot! Asking a BeoWorlder to say something nice about a Bang & Olufsen product built after 1990 is a fools errand! Seriously though, I'm a store owner and if I heard you moping about like this I'd tell you to man the eff up. We're a world class luxury

Not user serviceable, but yes, that is possible through an authorized B&O repair facility. Sal

My take on the Beosound 5: Before release: -What the heck was B&O thinking? -A $5000 head unit? -What interface can be that engaging? After release, and having played with it a while: -This thing is gorgeous! -I enjoy up front interaction with the device. -The materials, fit and finish are up to B&O standards. -MOTS is pretty cool I don't

Hmmm, if your dealer is serious, I'd consider finding a different dealer (because either they misunderstood you, or they don't know B&O very well). The Beolab 8000s, can certainly be paired with non B&O equipment if you use the RCA inputs (line in) jacks, and make sure the input switch is set to Line. Be sure that you are connecting
