All sorted after a clean of the sensors and the glass door - both of which were spotless to my eyes anyway. I guess an invisible film does build up on glass over time. Just glad it was a simple fix. Exorcism completed...

An unusual problem with my bs9000 - turned it on and the cd sled moved slightly and got stuck between CDs. It then alarmingly zoomed to the bottom with a clunk. Wouldn't respond to remote or manual commands using buttons on the side. Clock disappears. Turned it off. Turned it on again. Red light and after a few minutes, clock reappears. I open door

Installed this onto my BV10 on the weekend. No noticable difference, except that after about half an hour watching a channel, the screen goes grey, the old 'clock' makes a reappearance, the screen goes grey again, and eventually a picture reappears on a different channel - the one the television had been on when first turned on. No such problem

What might be the likely outcome of loading Australian BC2 software onto an American phone? Disaster? Is the transmission frequency determined by software or hardware?

Hmmm...anyone leaving the UK or Aus for the US and would like to swap a mint condition blue BeoCom 2? Stuart

Does anyone have any experience of this? Do the US models operate on a different frequency from those in Australia, hence my lack of success in getting it to connect? Does the handset need a software update? I believe my Beoline is running the latest version of the software. Stumped!

I've just bought a US BeoCom 2 from the US to add to my current phone system. I can't get it to recognise my (Mk 1, flat, rectangular) BeoLine Australian base however. I've been pressing the recessed button on the back of the BeoLine to 'open' it but to no avail. Am I doing something wrong or is the US phone simply incompatible with
