I have a family member who just bought the new Samsung a couple of weeks ago. Paid out £1500 for his and the picture quality is very poor. Pixelation in very obvious on SD content and it cant handle anything moving fast e.g. a football game. The picture also has no depth to it. It does not even come close to my 5 year old panny plasma. Thanks for the reply, but still just slightly confused about this straight, direct, normail vs null, crossed cable Would the below cable do the trick you think? ---- D type 9 pin to 9 pin, male to female serial RS232, modem, EGA lead, 2M These 9 pin to 9 pin D type, DB9 male plug to female socket leads can be used in many serial RS232 and EGA monitor
Make sure you have a straight RS232 cable, not a nulmodem version.
By straight you mean 1-1, 2-2, etc like this: http://www.revealcable.co.uk/acatalog/info_1_AA2135.html Cheers Christian

I have a panasonic TH50PF10 and I have bought the HDMI module (2xHDMI) as I was told this would be better for 24fps (auto-detect or something). I also have a BS3, but none of this have been connected yet... What should I consider before connecting everything up? What is this panel auto-detect setting in BS3? Should I turn this off? and manually choose

I am in favour of a tuning club. I have a BS3 (need to update the software) a lab7.1 , Pana TH50PF10, Lab9s and Lab3, PS3 ... but I have never had a chance to connect everything up. I have been collection the bits slowly and I have between homes for almost 9 months ... can't wait to get it set up ... not even sure if I can get it working.

Try hooking the BL6000s up to your BeoSound 3000 only .. no BV7, Lab8s, Speaker 5 in the mix. If its gone it is somewhere in the area of BV7 .. next step would be to remove all connected sources, dvd players, cable/sat boxes, and see if it still there or not. Then add a source 1-by1 to see when it appears.

Anyone know what type RS232 cable i need between my BeoSystem 3 and Panasonic display? When googling RS232 you get various formats, etc.. Is it male-male 9 pin I need or? Everything is in boxes in storage - so I cant get to it and check the connectors.

None of the techies on BeoWorld want to take a shot of this? Does anyone know how much the Alu Frame for a Beovision 4 50" would cost?
-
Anyone else have an idea about if this is possible?
No you don't have to remove the original Pana frame. I have also seen it done with wide Velcro.
Wont there end up being a bit og gap/edge from the level of the glass out to the level of the pana frame and the beo frame? How many millimeters would this end up being?
