  • Re: I made a few adjustments to make my set up sound better!

Damatt, oh that's ok. I've bought it a long time ago. It's my fault not to read the whole manual! I'm going to buy some proper ones on eBay then or go to the Vibrapod reseller here in Australia! Alex, you're right, it could well be the showroom causing the hollowness! The best is always have them bring it to my own place so I could

That could have been a smart move if I had the money! I would've picked BL5 instead :) The sound is so accurate you could forget about 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 set ups. 2.0 will do!

Thanks everyone for their comments! Beobird, thanks for the Vibrapod link. How's the Vibrapod different to other speaker spikes? Peter, during the audition of the BL9, while I think the sound is amazing, and the bass being more defined (than the BL2) it sound a little more hollow (or "cold") compared to the BL8000. The other thing is the

  • I made a few adjustments to make my set up sound better!

Hi all, I want to share a little experience with all of you. I've made a couple of small adjustments to my set up (BL8000+BL7-4+BL2) and I noticed a decent improvement to the quality of sound! Sorry if it's some obvious things that everyone here knows about (I'm a beginner in hi fi's!). The fact that I went into a store to audition the

Hello, Doesn't B&O remote control uses a slightly different IR beam than conventional remote controls (I thought I read somewhere?) Are the Logitech and Philips able to be programmed to emit Beo4 compatible IR signals? Thanks. Beomud

  • Configuring BL8000 + BL7-4 + BL2 + BS1 for the best sound

Hello all! As you can see I have a quite unusual set up here. I have a pair of BL8000 connected to the BeoSystem1, with the BL2 sub originally. However, I'm impressed with the new ALT technology being able to produce a much more crisper, 3-dimensional human voice, so I added a BL 7-4 to my set up. So far I'm quite happy with this addition. I

  • Re: Do i need a BL 2 ?

You won't believe the bass the BL2 brings until you hear it. I have a Beolab 8000 and my friend a pair of Beolab 3s and we're both very happy with our speakers until I got my BL 2. The massive difference in sound made my friend buy a BL 2 for themselves the very same week they heard mine.

  • Re: Beosystem 1 in Australia

Good news guys, I managed to plug my speakers into it and get sound playing out of it! At the moment I only have Beolab 8000 and 6000 and 2 connected to it, so that is 4.1 but in setting the speaker mode I could only pick 2,3, or 5. Without the centre channel it sounds a bit hollow. Maybe it's time to get a Beolab 7.4 added on ;) I also got a movie

By the way Klas, I'm using a 240V-110V step down converter that outputs 250W. I wonder if that would have anything to do with the flicking on/off of the picture? It's showing in colour though which is great!
