• Re: BV10 UK Launch - My Report
Are you really saying Peter that prior to its launch, a design of this type with a speaker bezel occupying a large proportion of the TVs frontage is 'exactly' what you were looking for in a TV design?
If I remember correctly, Peter was saying many times (before we ever heard of BV10) that he considered
I know what you mean, but I have around the house an Avant, and AV9000 and an LX6000 all of which are obsolete and all of which offer extremely good picture quality.
Hehe ... Peter is too diplomatic - as usual, but he can't fail to hit the nail right on, of course!

  • Re: Are there big differences in the Beosound/Beocenter family, in sound? Easy to choose between Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000 & Beolab 3
I hope no one is offended.
No No, Clakke you simply speak your mind and a discussion can get as fine as people are willing to do just that, really. Now, my 'main' (taken over by the rest of my family) speakers are BL5's but I guess I just wanted to say that the 6000's can still sound great under
6000 is a different story though. All setups I have heard have sounded really cheap. Typical like a 200€ speaker in a big store (El Giganten).
Personally, I would not be so harsh on them - if/when combined with a spare BL2. In that case one can be reasonably certain that this combination doesn't sound

  • Re: Where is the best place/ country to buy B&O?
but just where is the best place to buy new B&O?
There are almost all countries represented here by the members (Lee once showed it) , so I guess a reasonable global ranking could be made. If members simply sent in the price list(s) from their respective country a neat and interesting table could then result

  • Re: How independent is Beoworld?

I would, while hopefully constructively and briefly coming back to where it all started, add that even if B&O asked to remove something from this site the site doesn’t become less ‘independent’ by simply and promptly stating eg: B&O told us to remove an image and gave their reason for this (which could be also specified/quoted

  • Re: Avant and digital DD/DTS input

Yes, you have the older Dolby ProLogic one - this has to be replaced by something like on the picture -depending on the type of the Avant you have.
Bang & Olufsen have just spent a whole heap of money on a press launch in Copenhagen
What can saf ely be said/repeated here is that money can’t really guarantee loyalty and loyalty doesn’t guarantee money … there will never be enough of both in this dangerous world, or so it seems. Surely

  • Re: Any logical point in selling my standard definition B&O plasma and buying a 1080p TV?

I’m in a similar situation, seethroughyou, namely with my BV5 (as you?) which I’ve now enjoyed immensely for more than 5 years (while the discussions on B&O TVs being future-proof – or not - raged on). I’m pretty sure I’ll be having good time with the TV for some time yet – later it will end up graciously as a
