Welcome to Beoworld. Why not use the RCA line in on your BL8000s? Just take a 3.5mm stereo plug to 2x RCA cable. And I highly recommend an external sound card, as the line out of the Mac sounds awful.... Search also 'BL8000 RCA' . Hope this helps. Stefan

I'm using Beoplayer on several Macs in the house. Works via Parallels Desktop and Win XP. This way I'm also programming my Beo6 and my Lintronic stuff. Hope this helps. Stefan

Just shortcut PIN 2 and 4 in a powerlink plug. That should set your BS9000 to a.opt 1. Search also 'BS9000 Powerlink Dummy'. Happy New Years party... Stefan

BL5 and BL3 sound different, especially in bass reproduction - we all know this. So the intention should be to build a setup with matching speakers. If you have BL5s in front, get BL9 or BL3 with BL2 for rear channels. Or again BL5 for rear.
using your idea for balanced performance

Agree. My BS5 also plays what I want, and sometimes it knows even better what I want... . If you want hundreds of playlists and browse by genre, use Beoplayer. Sometimes I use it on my Mac in the office. But I recommend using MOTS. I don`t want to spend hours to create playlists, I want to use the system for listening to music. BTW I also still have

Did you try to power Beo6 completely off and on again? Does the CT 5.12 detect your Beo6? Did you control the configuration before transmitting it to your Beo6? Did you try to transmit the config. again? Stefan

AUX out in BM6500/7000 is a fixed line level output. I don`t think you can use it for power amps. You can use Powerlink outputs - it`s even possible to poer up your amps using 5V voltage on PIN4. Or disconnect the plug of your BM that combines pre- and poweramp. It`s a preamp out - poweramp in plug. Stefan

" Ideally would be BL 5 front, In the middle BL 9 and at the rear BL 3. This was the original idea. I have looked at some posts but there are no people with such a setup? Even the cinema set at the dealer doesn' t have a setup 7.0 I believe." I experienced exactly this setup in a Beostore near Copenhagen. It`s actually a 7.1 setup, because

The difference is that you'll have to create a new queue once it has played.
I agree. The Beo6 wi-fi works great; however, there are some features of the BeoSound 5 that are lost. You have to go to the next screen of the Beo6 to find the "hidden" RED N.Music screen
