I'm very happy with my BV3 and would echo comments above - needs to be BV3-32 and needs to be in modern surrounds. I have it in a modernly furnished room and looks great but also have a 1930's room with antique furniture etc where it looks out of place but where, I feel, an Avant might fit in well. Dylan

Hi all, I'm having trouble setting up code to access my "PC" source on my Beoport from another room. Nmusic, NRadio etc no problem but can't seem to get the "PC" command to do anything - nor does it work from my Beo4. Any ideas thanks Dylan

Since making all your connection/setting changes have you tried turning everything off at the mains for 10 minutes or so then turning on again (and I think turning the master 7-40 on first) to "reboot" the masterlink?

Always thought I wanted the Avant as best TV etc then started looking at BV3. Didn't like appearance originally then just grew and grew on me Avant now looks, dare I say it, old-fashioned in comparison. Haven't done a side by side comparison but v happy with my choice. I love the storage unit (so much easier than hanging everything off the back

Sounds right to me - unless the 7-32 should be L-Opt 6 perhaps? Just to clarify you have the cabling as in my reply above so RF cable either direct from 7-40 to 7-32 or via splitter and both TVs masterlinked?

I think the problem might be that you need to "split" the cable after leaving the BV7-40 rather than daisy-chaining. So from BV7-40 RF out you then go to a RF splitter and then from that seperate cables to the BV7-32 and the MX4002. Also I thought with the BV7 you needed the link-amplifier in the set-up (unlike Avant/BV3) but as you had it

What you can do is to set beoport/beoplayer to "PC" and then run itunes in Windows on your PC - this will get the music to your beoport and any attached speakers and I presume (and hope as about to do this myself once cabling in situ) out to linked rooms. You will however lose the soothing voice saying "artist" etc (and the displayed

My advice about Maplins was just for the IR blaster - the wire which goes from socket in back of the TV to transmit the IR signal to the front of the V Box - this can be got for a few quid from eg Maplins. I would agree with the above otherwise - I am about to go down the Beo5 route but solely because I have a multiroom setup and I love a gadget. I

If the DVD player and virgin box are already connected and controllable with your Beo4 then, unless I'm being dim, you should have no problem. If however you're using the boxes own remotes then you may need a STB-C upgrade if they aren't already on your list of supported models (from memory go to [setup] [connections] choose eg [AV] then

Thanks Piet - I'll try and get another copy - suspected it must be something to do with the file as same problem on both my computers. Dylan
