Take Martin's generosity, sincerity & general all round niceness as seen on the public face of Beoworld. Now times it by a factor of 10 & you will still be way off mark as to the real person behind the crocodile. One of the best blokes I've had the pleasure to have aquainted. Chris.

Are the transport screws fully released? It sounds like that or a related problem to me, such as the suspension has dropped somewhat & may need adjusting - this would be another likely suspect. Both of the above would give you this type of problem. Slacking suspension springs IS fairly common with aging beograms of this type. Chris.

To the OP (Maab) I would strongly suggest ignoring anything Ian G.... - sorry - King of Snake has to say as he is simply bitter towards Beoworld & and takes pleasure in creating ill feeling amongst the membership
Crikey, this is worse than what Ian has written, IMHO. Ebay as always is your best point of reference re: market values of anything. I would honestly say your speakers are probably worth far more than they will sell for in that they are wonderful speakers that very few people would actually want these days. Beovox 3800's appear regularly on ebay which is probably your best point of sale, but don't

In fairness Beolab4's & Beolab 6000's aren't the greatest speakers in the world as far as bass is concerned, the mellow qualities of the CD50 combined with one of B&O's better amps probably covered this up over the years. Mika is quite right that you have probably become accustomed to this & that your ears need to re-educate
Dear Chris, Thank you very much for taking time to explain. No I do not need a 4 channel cartridge, so I could go for any of MMC 20 range, right? I will try my luck on e-bay. Thanks again
No problem, & good luck with ebay. Yes ANY of the MMC20 range will fit, as will any of the MMC3000,4000,5000 cartridges

Welcome to Beoworld SALDAGO You have probably realised that MMC6000 cartridges have long since been discontinued so the first question is :- Do you require a Quad/4 channel cartridge which the 6000 was designed to be? You really have 3 viable options here :- Option 1. If you DO require a 4 channel cartridge then your next best choice is a MMC20CL which

Ouch! That must have hurt...... In fairness to your daughter the actual listing was quite good (I've seen much worse) so you could argue that it attained its true market value. I'm trying to make you feel a little better here but I don't think I'm really helping am I? Chris.

BS9000 for me too (very closely followed by the BL5's). The last true "classic" from B&O for my mind. The BL5's are classics to many people but I've yet to meet anyone who isn't impressed by the BS9000. This can't be said for the design of the BL5's - they are a bit Marmite to many. Chris.
