• Re: Early Beogram 4002 Compared to Later Models

Cost cutting measures I am sure. However they really do sound much the same! The later ones are easier to maintain but I like the heavy platter of the 4000.

  • Re: Front Panel Fonts

I have done the 5000 system with Helvetica Letraset before - did really rather well, though I say so myself! I was a while ago so I cannot remember exactly which size it was but it was Helvetica Bold. Having a Frede set now however, there is no comparison!I add some pictures!

  • Re: How to open a Beogram 4002 / 4004 / 6000

A reasonable request! On the removing the wood surround, you don need to remove the control panel but after that it is just a case of removing the screws that hold the panel in the sliding position. There are plastic parts below the screws which are rather fragile but take your time and they can be re-used.

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 quadrophonic

It is quite large! The Beomaster is under my bed at present! If it is all working, get it on eBay - photograph it with all the lights on and show pictures of the boxes and manuals if you have them. Let us know how you get on.

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 quadrophonic

Prices are tricky - we are in a recession - however a mint boxed fully working BM6000 with remote should get £400+, the Beogram with working MMC6000 a similar amount and the speakers will get about £150 a pair - especially with trumpet stands. The Beocord is probably going to struggle unless it really does work!! (I wouldn't trust mine

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 quadrophonic

I take it you have the Beogram 6000 as well. I would definitely sell these on eBay - you should list the components separately though on the whole, I would put the Beomaster and remote together unless you have a very silly offer for the remote. The Beocord is unlikely to work properly and is worth little but the Beomaster and Beogram are both highly

  • Re: Struer Museum

It is in the centre of Struer, quite near the Grand and is definitely worth the trip. It is simply the best B&O museum in the world, even outshining the one in Clitheroe!
ItS a real shame the existing forum cannot be uploaded to the new one
The old forum will continue to be able to be read. The problem we have been having is that posters with high rates of posting have been finding that they are practically unable to post. Martin , myself and a number of others have just about

  • Re: BeoLit 12 is in the shops! Initial impressions?

You can control the Beolit 12 with a B&O remote. That is what the IR receiver is for.The Beo4 and Beo6 will both work and I dare say the Beolink 1000 et al will as well.
