• BV 8 vs BV 10 Sound Quality

Hello everyone, The picture quality between the BV 7, 8, and 10 is often discussed, as is the superior sound quality of the BV 7 over the BV 10 and 8. However, I was wondering, for those that own both or have spent extensive time with both, how does the sound quality between the BV 10 and 8 compare. Which one do you prefer and why? I've seen (and

  • Re: Any new television from b&O in the future?

I agree with both Peter and Trip. I think we have a pretty nice range of televisions at the moment. I would like to see one or two smaller screen options here in the US though, for those areas that don't need a 40" (the smallest currently available in the US) or larger screen. Another 32" or 26" model would be nice. I'd also like

  • Re: Spare parts for Beogram CD5500

Welcome to BeoWorld! I too have a Beosystem 5500, except I have the CD50 instead of the CD5500. Though I don't have any personal experience with them, Atlantic Systems in Hanover, MA is an authorized B&O repair center, and seems to have a very good reputation here is the US. You could try giving them a call, and see what they have to say. I

  • Re: TX2 turntable with 180 gram albums

Hi Rick, It sounds like the suspension on your RX2 just needs to be adjusted (raised) slightly. I've "played" with the suspension on the RX2 before, but it has been sometime ago. I'm sure someone on here with more experience with adjusting the suspension could help you out with this. I don't believe it is that difficult to adjust

  • Re: Beovision 7-40 update

I would assume that probably has as much to do with the built in BS 3 as it does the screen itself. The BS 3 is IMHO an amazing processor!
In fact, which TV's have the BS3 processor? As we all know it's not about the panel (whether sourced from Samsung, Sharp or whomever

  • Re: Beovision 7-40 update
You're absolutely correct about the BeoSystem 3 doing the lion's share of the improvements. The native panel, when considering processing, is a minor link in the quality chain and processing as we've proved, can account for tremendous performance. The US BV8-40 does not have a tuner and most televisions

  • Re: Beovision 7-40 update
The BV7-40MKIV is vastly more capable than the BeoVision 8-40. The picture is night and day. We show the exact same source on all the TVs in my shop for exactly this reason. The difference is notable. • Re: I love the Sixties!

Great collection, the sixties do have some awesome equipment! I like the Beomaster and Beolab 5000 of course, and the 42v record deck as well. I wonder who still sells blank "reel" tape? I'm assuming someone does, but I haven't looked for any in a long time. I'd be curious to see how the beocord sounds.
