Honestly, the volume thru iTunes to an Airport to a BL is verrrry loud even at the lowest volume setting on iTunes. Each little increase is a quantum leap without the inline volume. I blew up a BL4000 finding out. I would highly suggest the inline volume control as a precaution. Its just a couple bucks.

Allow me to be devil's advocate but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfCHuVrWHPk&NR=1 or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yX8yrOAjfKM no offense intended to anyone Now - my idea of a nice party is streaming music from my Mac into my BeoLabs. Either the visualizer will be on or a slideshow from iPhotos would be playing displaying photos of

B&O is too proprietary as far as their products. The BL2 also does not have line in. B&O has a line adaptor but it introduces a very noticeable buzz. Is the 5v switch different? I'd like to know more about and how to set it up it because currently I have a BL2 sitting in a closet doing nothing. Keep us posted on your setup!

Hello Raz. Take a look at this. It looks like it may fit your needs, but it's not cheap. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142IUBHK/Scosche-IUBHK-BlueLife-Home-Kit.html?tp=243 I don't think you will need the transmitter part of this unit because your iTouch already has a bluetooth transmitter. I'm also not sure about the sound quality but it

Well, the iTouch has a bluetooth that streams to (wireless) bluetooth headphones. So it seems its possible provided you have some sort of destination bluetooth device that has an audio out. I don't know if there is such an animal out there. Let's both do some homework and see if there is such a thing.

Well, if it were mine it wouldn't. The sound might not be the same 'timbre' as your beolabs plus adding an amp just for the center appears 'busy' but that's just my opinion. Have you considered a BeoLab 7-4? I would think that ideal for your setup. I'm not sure how expensive they are. Perhaps a single BL4000 or BL3for the
Thank you Michael. Well since I did not get any tips I ended up taking the speaker to an authorized B&O repair shop and turns out that the amp is dead which costs $395 alone (ouch). Hopefully that is the real problem!
Same thing happened to me, except in my case I dropped it when I was wall mounting it and

My own setup is iTunes to Airport to BeoLabs. The part coming from the BeoLabs is "Cable - External Line" which is a DIN to RCA male as mentioned above. It is a B&O product and the part # is 6270856. You'll need one for each speaker. From there, you will need an RCA female to mini stereo adaptor. Here's the tricky part. Don't
