  • Re: B&O to abandon Scotland...?

I wonder whether any sales that could have been made by these stores will now go to either Glasgow or Edinburgh or just be lost to the brand. It is a sad day when a dealer gives up.

I did think Stirling looked a bit empty last week. Possibly both Stirling & Perth have closed, I do hope not. Common ownership afaik. If these dealers have closed, what happens to customer care/support for their existing client base? Do B&O UK take care of this or is it left to other dealers?

  • Re: Flashing Standby Light- what does it mean?

Jandyt: I have no experience with BV7, but could it mean there is no DVD in the tray, or the tray is open? checked that - sorry I afraid it wasn't the problem - still flashing.

I have a flashing standby light on my BV7-40 mk3. I cannot find anything in the manual as to what this means. Does anyone have any ideas?

jvdb107: I do respect your opinion :-) but if you can't see that they will have to try harder in their beovision range... B&O themselves did not see any problem till now: they are loosing money, firing people, dropping whole product lines (mobile phones, mp3, ...). Expecially in difficult market conditions you have to search for a perfect balance

  • Re: Have B&O gone mad with their prices?

I recently purchased a BV7-40, I could have gone for any number of good but much cheaper TVs but I can tell you I do not regret for one minute buying the B&O - the picture is great, the sound is great, and it looks great. It is everything I expected and more. I could have assembled something equivalent from various manufacturers products, but what

  • Re: BeoSound 5 costs 4.710,-€

bayerische: stefan: They have problems with cable length. My dealer told me, max. length will be 15m. There are already different prices on the dealers`pricelist. Stefan If that is true, B&O has somehow reinvented the USB standard. From Wikipedia: USB1.1 maximum cable length is 3m. USB2.0 maximum cable length is 5m. Maximum hubs connected in series

I agree. Although I would prefer that they offer a cable option where the 3 individual cables are wrapped in an outer casing.
