• Re: Austerity measures!!

You're exactly right. The middle class is taking a breather until the economy reestablishes some feeling of safety and predictability. Once that happens I wouldn't be surprised to see more affordable offerings. In the mean time we're not going to build something for which there is no sound business case. That truly would lead to our demise

I think that there's an experience deficit in some of these responses. If things were this easy I would be right there on the bandwagon. I'm not in love with cabling and I'm just as interested in novel new solutions as anyone, but I run a high-end installation company

stand that I'm not against Airplay in any way, I'm simply pointing out its flaws. Apple's a great product. I'm typing on my brand new MacBook Air (3rd one), and can see an AppleTV, iPad, and 3 iPhones just by looking around the room I'm in. I'm in no way opposed

Soundproof (and others), Please understand that I'm not against Airplay in any way, I'm simply pointing out its flaws. Apple's a great product. I'm typing on my brand new MacBook Air (3rd one), and can see an AppleTV, iPad, and 3 iPhones just by looking around the room I'm in. I'm in no way opposed to the and most of my gripes
Who needs Beosound 5 or Beosound 8 anymore???
1. People who demand a higher quality of sound. 2. People who demand access to their entire music collection and not just what's on their iPod. 3. People who don't want to have a computer switched on in order to have access to their full music collection

  • Re: BeoLab 9 - Chocolate Brown

They look great, Lee. I'm actually a bit surprised B&O has never had a brown in the rotation. With all the wood & leather tones it would compliment it seems more natural than some of the more "exotic" colors we've had over the years. And the best part is you'll be able to get another color pretty soon when that Natuzzi

  • Re: The BeoSound 8 - Live Review!!!

I'm not a fan of the paid app. At least not for this product. I think B&O have done a stellar job at packing everything under the sun into one box at a great price point. To include a wall bracket and a remote for free, but charge $20 for the app seems like an unnecessary wet blanket. It's not that I think the apps should be free, but I

  • Re: Beosound5 Encore

ML boards as they exist today start to vanish this winter. Product by product. New releases will only have Cat7, and existing products will get in-line changes. Of course that sounds more revolutionary than it is, since the functionality will be quite similar and we will see hybrid systems for years and years to come just like MCL to ML. I personally

If Henry Ford had used focus groups, he would have tried to breed a faster horse, instead he built a car.
Sounds true, but it's a logical fallacy: He would only have tried to breed faster horses if focus groups stood as the sole tool in the box. No serious manufacturer
