To transfer files, FTP is the fastest way. I get +7Mb/s over a wired network. There are lots of freeware FTP clients available on the web.

I had no problems setting up a tvix for a friend of mine. Same goes for the +100.000s other users in the rest of the world, I guess. Even B&O is supporting this player. Now why would that be? Maybe your harddisk was an exception to be compatible with your tvix. Don’t know. Anyway, I use a Popcorn myself, and have it setup like a kaleidescape

Nee, we zitten op 1 lijn. Ik dacht ook dat je een losse HDD/DVD recorder bedoelde. Zo eentje als van de standaard merken. De tip van Beobuddy zou inderdaad wel kunnen, maar vanwege het lastige configureren van een dreambox denk ik dat je daar toch ook niet aan wil beginnen. Een losse dvd-speler die voorrang neemt zo gauw je hem aanzet icm decoder met

Haha, ik begrijp het. Maar stel dat deze "doos" bestaat, dan heb je toch weer te maken met een volgende hindernis. Alle zenders bij Ziggo zijn gecodeerd op Ned 1 na. Je ontkomt er niet aan, dat het apparaat een CI-module moet hebben. Bovendien moet je dan weer een extra smartcard aanschaffen, om die zenders van het zwart af te halen.
