  • Re: Beosystem 6500 displays

Interesting thread this one. What about the Active versus Passive which the 6500 system is able to handle. What would be the ideal speakers to go for if you invest in a 6500/7000 system? Active Penta's??

  • Re: IR Code Converter for the BM8000 questions

I got the box today. It's the right one for sure. I need a powersupply and a cable with a mini plug on one end and blue led on the other to test it. If anyone here has such a cable please let me know. In order for X-tra speakers with the MCL82 system I need the MCL- Beolab kit type 106/7 and the above converter boks. Can anyone bring any info on

  • Re: Beocord 4500 cable

I was just going through the MCL manuals here the other day. One of them says the Audio AUX link cable is the same as it has 2 ways of transporting data. A good dealer should be able to get it.

Thank you. Ok the other ISPN fuse says N 5 D. What is the correct replacement for it? What instrument do I need for measuring the voltage? Where do I get the replacement fuses?

  • Re: VX7000 cap questions for powersupply

Thank you very much for the update. I have unsoldred QF1601 but I have trouble locating QF901 between the blue and white sockets. QF901 is a bit more to the right of the blue socket. So is it still QF901 that's the second fuse or the QF902 between the blue and white sockets? Yes I could use the manual. Anyway what do I need to check the voltage

So I got some paint thinner and removed the glue + black acid from the 3300uf v25. I'm still waiting for those 2200uf so I installed 2 of the 1500uf v35 instead in C858 and C853. After putting in the powersupply I put 240 voltage to it and nothing happend at all. No lights or noise and so forth. The 1,6A fuse is blown. As I only have a 200 ma aviable

Voltage is 240V yes. Anyway I got to clean the board first after those messy caps. The 2 10uf v16 does look fine though. The only 10uf v16 I can find are 85 degrees. Is that ok? Should I replace these 10uf 16v now or can I install the other 4 to see if it will work? It looks like the 4 big ones are the culprits in this case.

  • Re: VX7000 cap questions for powersupply

Thank you for clearing it up. I got 2 VX7000. Both models are 4581 and bought used here in Denmark. I'm still waiting for the 2200uf v25 to arrive but using a 1500uf v35 in C858 would work as well?

  • Re: VX7000 cap questions for powersupply

My trouble is that you are giving me another type of cap to be put next to C858 than the one I took off and looks to be the original one. C858 has a 2200uf V25 mounted. C853 has a 1500uf V35 mounted. What it says in the workshop is that C853 and C858 must both use the 1500uf V35. It's not a problem as I got 25 of them but the value is different
