• Re: Problem with Beolab2 / AUX input

Check the following: 1) Is the cable pushed in all the way into the iPod? If it's not pushed in all the way, you will only get one channel 2) Is the AUX connector correctly aligned with the BS9000's AUX port? You're not supposed to able to connect them except as designed, but I have a cable (from B&O) that doesn't have the little

  • Re: Beo4 Remote - Oveurture marry-up issues

Maybe the Oveurture is option programmed to ignore remote control commands (option 0). Beo4s do not really "marry" to equipment so the fact that it was used to control an Avant TV doesn't matter. Try this with your Beo4: - Press and hold the power button (red dot) - press "list" until it displays [OPTION?] - let go of both buttons

  • Re: powerlink to stereo plug
Hi If you just want to convert powerlink to RCA, just use a standard Din to RCA converter like this: http://www.av-connection.com/?PGr=1403&ML=421 make shure that it has all 4 RCA plugs. I have used this to take the signal from my Ouverture to my Rega amp, driving B&W speakers. best regards Christian
Why

  • Re: How to play ...

To play all the songs on an album, you select the album rather than the 1st song. That is, from "covers" or "albums", press "GO" before opening up the album (i.e. <<), or press "GO" with just the album name selected, not an individual song. Similarly (this is something I just learned and have updated my

  • Re: beotime - on time ?
I can't understand why every manufacturer offers an iPod dock. If I buy a highend audio system I shouldn't even think of "MP3" especialy MP3 & iPod as the iPod is the cheapest sounding player compared to the Sony NWZ Walkman series and Cowons S9 etc.
An ipod supports apple lossless format and

  • Re: BeoLink Wireless 1 and Active PL's different?

Figured this out right after I posted this... The stereo connected to the PL to RCA cable must be powered on when I power on the BeoLink wireless. Sweet. Stan

  • BeoLink Wireless 1 and Active PL's different?

Does anybody know if the beolink active's powerlink output is different than the Beolink wireless's powerlink output? My BL's work fine with my wireless, but my PL to RCA cable does not . Yet, the PL to RCA cable works fine with an Active... Thanks, Stan

  • Re: Beosound 5: Red Led is blinking, system does NOT react and other issues with that unit ...

The blinking red light means the BS5/BM5 is waking up (or potentially rebooting). When you leave the BM5 idle for some time (not sure how long it takes), it goes to sleep (assuming it's not connected wirelessly via a wireless USB link). It takes 10-20 secs for it to wake-up from this state. This can seem like a long time when you're waiting

  • Re: iTUNES PLUS SOUNDS POOR ON BEOSOUND 5...

"Why would audiophiles, even for CD playback, pay $20,000 for a separate master clock unit?" Because he wants to, and this proves nothing other than some people have a lot of money to spend. I'm done, too. Goodnight/Good Morning/Good Afternoon (depending on where you live). Stan

  • Re: iTUNES PLUS SOUNDS POOR ON BEOSOUND 5...

I don't think we're beating a dead horse quite yet so I'm going to respond. First, I think you have a typo... "The transport process is definitely lossless (unless it uses network-based protocols... )". I'm pretty sure that you mean "lossy" (the opposite of lossless) since the rest or your statement talks about the
