Slightly off centre pictures can be rectified by the end user. It sounds like you need a full system reset to start with. To do this you also need a service tech as Keith mentioned. You have received a great gift maybe a service tech onsite is not a bad thing.... Its easier down the stairs than up. Trust me on that one, I know. Hope you get the Avant

Hi Martin, I think the problem is simpler. The BG6000 sounds great when playing the records (in fact better than all other turntables I have with a new cartridge) and there are no obvious signs of a power supply issue. Its like a sensor or relay is causing the issue.. Maybe some lubrication is needed... Thanks, Beoaus.

I've heard both. The BL6000 solution is better with a more detailed sound for a quiet music listening room or dining room. The CX100s + Cona go well for a more rumpas room or area. Same way as I heard them. Beoaus

Ok tried this. There is a springloaded mechanism that sits under the arm and to the left about 3 inches. A long tight spring on the left, a piston of sorts in the middle and another smaller/wider spring to the right that holds arms. The movement of this mechanism is smooth when it moves to the left. When it reaches the far left the mechanism loudly

Got my hands on a BG6000 (The quad version). It has a few problems. The first one being a loud clicking sound when the arm starts to move. The record then plays to the end. The arm raises to return, moves slightly then clicks loudly, drops and plays the last few minutes of the record again. This process repeats. If I move the arm via the < button

Not much choice. Try a DVI switch box and HDMI -> DVI and Audio cables. A provider in Australia http://www.audiovisualdevices.com.au/products.php?catid=18&grpid=1870 You can also get a Scart switcher if you need to have a playstation and Pace box working in the link room. I suppose you could workout an upgrade price to the BV7 Mark III.. Beoaus

Was the problem resolved? I recently installed a pair and had a few problems with volume. Beoaus.

Alex: No, not by quite a long shot, sadly. Not sure I agree... See my other post.

(posted out of order, the quote function failed also) After owning the Avant, BV732 and BV740 I would say yes!. Go for the BV7... Free to air (poor signal) then No!. Free to air (good signal) Marginal, Digital free to air Yes!, DVD Yes!, PACE/Foxtel Yes!. There are a whole lot of other aspects to consider as well. Its a pity the old site detail is gone
