Alex: I'm one of Bang & Olufsen's biggest cheerleaders ... but some of the decisions we make as a company really make me scratch my head. Bang & Olufsen certainly isn't for everyone ... but I think without any real entry level products in a way we might be damaging the future of our business. We'll see what happens! Alex, Thanks

Puncher: Is it a coincidence that a lot of the "don't change anything, our TV range is the best and there isn't a real alternative" supporters on this thread seem to be from the US? Is the market landscape that different there? Maybe the stores there aren't closing at an alarming rate, or B&O US's business report looks

Plagente, Thanks for the latest financial information about B&O. I was trying to find that information. You and Puncher are of course correct in your observations about B&O and their current product line. However I would caution that B&O has been in this situation before and over time their product line and finances improved. Hang in there

TripEnglish: BeoSound 5 if you're ready to dive in head first into digital music. BeoSound 9000 if you're heading into your twilight years and uninterested in this "new media." BeoCenter 2 if you're a masochist. BeoSound 4 if... um... well I'm sure there's a reason around here somewhere. BeoSound 3200 if your love of digital

I would return everything for a refund. If you are unhappy now, you will always be unhappy with these purchases.

I have seen a crowded B&O store but not lately. I was not comparing the so called Apple experience with the B&O experience but to point out that not every company is reporting losses and Apple and its stores are doing well despite the recession. I used the Apple analogy because Apple is often compared to B&O in this forum. I too have received

At Bang & Olufsen is it really all about TVs? Most of these discussions here revolve around the quality and price of TVs. However I am more interested in the other higher end products like the Beolab 5s. Is it that B&O rises and falls on TVs? Trip. I agree with most of your points with one exception. The point was that B&O could always depend

At present OLED is concurrently being developed for many uses including TVs This includes OLED lighting by by GE and Osram. In addition many companies are making small OLED displays for phones and control panel uses. Samsung recently showed a 32 inch flat panel display that will go into production. It will be a few years before B&O will even start

TripEnglish: Good to be back! If the BeoSound 5 thread rears its head again, I'll be sure to dive in. Welcome back Trip. There is more than a Beosound 5 thread. We have a Beosound 5 forum for you to check out. It was fairly lively until recently but it is good reading. It is indeed true Mr10percent and Alex did a brilliant job defending the Beosound
