Thanks. The metal wire seems to run in a V-shape, connected to the metal frame by a hook in on end and by a spring in the other end. I do not see a wire, besides the one running from the metal wire to the end of the picture tube, am I overlooking a wire? It could be something had come loose during the car ride. Still lots of sparks at the solderings
