Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but I have had a few days away. The captured codes with IR trans looks fine and I can see they are 14 bits long which is correct for standard RC5. For each command from left to right is the following:- Bit 1 is always a "1" and is the start bit Bit 2 defines if it is a 6 or 7 bit RC5 command also

My apologies to all members who have been having problems recently connecting to, and using the forum. Since returning on Monday from a short holiday I have been looking into the issues. I have not really noticed the shorter battery life, but I normally leave my Beo5 on it's charger stand. Dermot, Did the B&O repairer actually see your unit and do some tests on it ? The Beosound 3200 has a large number of internal test routines which help to define a problem in some detail, did teh repairer run these tests ?

There was one RSS feed feature which has always been disabled and that was "RSS Search" which will allow members to create syndication feeds which contain the results of a search. I have just enabled this facility, but I have never actually tested it, so I would be interested in feedback on how well it works and if it is useful.

Jonas, The easy way is to either borrow or purchase a Lintronic box ( http://www.lintronic.dk/ ) which will allow you to capture the IR timings of each command, then either use the Beoworld XML Converter (Must be Silver or Gold member) which will convert these timings to a Beo5 XML file. The timings produced for each command will be in the following

Jonas, A Very Warm Welcome to Beoworld and your first posting.. I do not have an XML file for the direct control for your Philips HD TV and I would suggest one has not been made to date, therefore you will need to capture the IR codes for each command. Where are you located ?

Heribert, This is a very big question and so I will only focus on some key points. Each "Mark" version has a number of assigned four digit "Type" numbers assigned which are sold by country/region and as an example I have listed the Mark V version below:- Region DVD Reg Type # North Eur 2 9181 North Eur 3 9182 Hong Kong 3 9183 UK
