  • Re: MX 5000 Writing on screen

Hi, It looks like someone at some point has physically handwritten it on the tube face and didn't clean it properly prior to reassembly. The contrast screen can be removed to clean it if desired. If I recall correctly you can unclip the two plastic strips above and below the contrast screen to gain access to the screws. Steve EDIT: I see that the

Chris, it's best to not discuss potential purchases with other halves. Buy it first, keep it hidden then announce that you've had it for ages.

  • Re: Beogram 6000 disaster

Graham, is this the Beogram that slid off the back car seat when your son collected it for you? If so you can blame him for the damage and get him to rewind the coil as compensation

I've used Polymorph in the past to fabricate plastic parts/widgets with successful results. You can either create a mold using a lump of it and pressing the original into it to make the impression, let it cool down and push more into the mold to duplicate the original...or hand create the original using a hot blade on a cooled lump of the stuff

Thanks Neil!! Many many moons ago you repaired that TV when it was mine - it's still going strong. I'll give you a call. Steve

  • Beovision MX3500 speakers

Does anyone know the speaker size in the MX3500? My father is complaining that the speakers in the TV I gave him years ago has foam rot. He's in a different country so I'm unable to view. Many thanks, Steve

  • Re: Beovision 6 22" with MX4000 motor wall bracket?

Thanks Mika. Typically more complicated than I thought. I shall just get a manual bracket and get off my backside to turn it. Thinking about it I'd be up anyway retrieving the remote to turn the TV towards the position I wanted anyway

  • Re: Beovision 6 22" with MX4000 motor wall bracket?

Thanks Chris. The BV6 I think is a 4pin din & the stand is a 5pin din - or the other way round. The service manual for the BV6 is module and not compontent so that's not much help. I could somehow try and connect the two I guess. At least if I blow it up I can blame you now

That's great news Neil. It'll save me having to d1ck around myself when mine suffers the same problem.

  • Beovision 6 22" with MX4000 motor wall bracket?

Bit of a long shot here but I have a BV6 22" and an NOS motorised wall bracket for an MX4000. Does anyone think there's a possibility of converting the bracket to work with the TV? It couldn't possibly be a straight forward plug in and create an adapter to physically mount the TV to the bracket could it? As far as I'm aware there's
