Did you order the correct upgrade kit from your B&O dealer or did you just order a replacement mech on the internet??

Any B&O turntable will work with the Beocenter 9000 either through the PHONO socket or the AUX socket depending on which turntable you buy! I suggest that this article would make suitable reading, before you make a decision. http://www.beoworld.org/article_view.asp?id=67

I recommend that you change the cd mechanism. Talk with your dealer as there are various kits depending on the serial number of your 9000. You will end up with the equivalent of a series III 9000 as far as the cd is concerned.

Could have been a white Beomaster 1200 or 2000 series??? They do come up on eBay but whether they are mint will depend on your definition!

If that mark is their only problem then you should live with it. There are not many, if any, mint pairs around by now and how many of those are in Norway???? You can possibly still buy replacements from B&O!!

Lubrication and replacement stylus and belts was all that was required. Plus a good clean up!! I checked and adjusted the speed of rotation with my tachodisc and it is now working 100% on stereo. It came to me fitted with an MMC20CL with a broken cantilever. I will send this cartridge to Axel and get him to rebuild it to as close as possible to the

Just got hold of Beomaster 6000 Quad (with Commander) and Beogram 6000 both in fantastic condition for their age. Beomaster is complete and seems fully functional, as far as I can tell. I have ordered a new battery for the remote. Last night, I fed it some tracks from my hard drive with my test CX50's connected as fronts and it sounds magic. FM
