As you say, the speakers are even better (must say, I was INCREDIBLY impressed with my 22 BV6 sound quality once I moved up the bass and treble settings) I'm sure you will find 26" very very suitable - very nice size! I think you should audition the BV6, it's a lovely product and im sure you will find it good for a bedroom. I like the look of widescreen televisions, so I personally wouldn't want an old crt in my 'crib' but hey each to their own.
