  • Re: CD4 Modulator

The one with the capacitors has an AC motor. The other one has a DC motor.

  • Re: Connecting Beolab 3000 speakers

Yes - called daisy chaining. Each powerlink cable carries both left and right information.

  • Re: CDX 'VS 4500

Had both and found the 4500 very neat but without a Datalink system it is not as useful. The CDX works with anything! The CD4500 can sound fantastic - it is supposed to have a TDA1541 DAC but some have a TDA1541A which is supposed to be superior. The CD5500 is better still as it does have a slightly different architecture.

  • Re: Service manuals

I don't have a VX service manual of any description. I do have the V8000 which is mind blowingly huge! Never had the courage to start scanning it as it would take up too much room and some of the sheets are bigger than my A3 scanner! The sensor is a modified MCL sensor without the controls. That might be a place to start looking.

  • Re: Service manual Beogram Cd 4500

I would strongly suggest ringing your dealer now! There has been a note round and B&O are discontinuing various parts - including some for the CD4500 - they have discontinued most already though. The CD mechanism is about to be taken off the list.

No, but the electronics are identical in the BC9500 CD part.

  • Re: Beomaster 2400 'VS Beomaster 4500

My first receiver was a 2400 and I have had or heard most of the rest of the series. Never had a problem with lack of power - I used S75s for years with the 2400 - though it would distort at the very highest volumes so I didn't venture there. The 4500 is actually not too different from the Beocenter 9500 in most respects and again this is a perfectly

Must be the broadband - have you tried a different filter? The 1200 seems to be a sensitive soul. Mine drives me crackers! Why they didn't put a back up battery in it is beyond me.
